"What would you do if you called, and no one came??"
Have you ever thought about volunteering your time to the betterment of your community? How about lending a helping hand to
a neighbor in their time of need? Being a volunteer firefighter is a challenging and rewarding experience.
Never has the need been greater for volunteers than now! Many hands make light work, and the Poultney Fire Department
is always accepting applications for membership. Cost of education and training is fully funded by the department leaving
only your drive and altruism as requirements to participate.
No job is too small or unimportant at an emergency incident. There are many levels of involvement from apparatus operation
and primary firefighting, to scene support and traffic control. You decide your level of involvement. Not everyone has to
wear a mask and soot dive!!

The Poultney Fire Department meets every Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Stop by the firehouse and see what being a part
of the firefighting community is all about. Pick up and application and give some thought to your involvement in a worthwhile
cause. Can't stop by this week, use the contact information below to reach us!!
